You will need either a Michigan or Ontario or Both. It all depends on which seasons are open for fishing, the wind direction forecast, water clarity, and where I have been catching fish leading up to your trip. I will reach out to you a couple days before the trip to go over which license(s) you will need.
I typically launch from St. Clair Shores for most smallmouth trips although depending on the wind direction we may also launch from Harrison Township or Detroit. Walleye Trips will be launched from either Marine City, Algonac, Harrison Township, St. Clair Shores, Detroit, Ecorse, or Brownstown all depending on where the fish are biting.
I recommend staying at he The Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn in Roseville, MI. These are decent hotels that will get the job done for a night or two. There are several hotels located on Hall Rd in Chesterfield, MI that are located next to several restaurants, Bass Pro, and Malls. You will be 15-20 minutes away from the launch but it is a nicer area than Roseville. There are some Air BnB's located in Harrison Township, Roseville, and Chesterfield. I have had several people stay in these with good reviews, just be sure to read reviews before you book because there are some areas that you do not want to be in.
I accept Cash, Check, Venmo, and PayPal. I cannot swipe a credit card the day of the trip. Please use Friends and Family on PayPal to avoid unnecessary fees.
It is Illegal to bring any Alcohol or Marijuana into Canadian waters and they have a zero tolerance policy therefore we cannot have any onboard the boat.
The industry standard for gratuity is 20-25% of the total trip cost for a great experience.
